Need to support hotel with better transport options such as car and motor bike hire

The private villa we stayed in was a fair hike up and down the stairs, but the privacy was well worth it. Some parts are quite steep, so I would not recommend the villas to anyone who has difficulty in climbing stairs. And it is also advisable not to have too much heavy luggage. One of our suitcases was as big as our poor concierge. Now it's not common to tip in Bali, but this was a definite exception. On arrival we found a medium sized spider in the bathroom, and I quickly caught and released him in the garden. It's not nature without the bugs, I figure. The bedroom is large as well as the bathroom, and beautifully furnished. I loved the bed! This is the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on, and being sick with the flu during our 3 night stay, this was absolute bliss. Sitting on the balcony or in the outdoor jacuzzi was relaxing and so peaceful you could hear the cascades from the Agung River below. Breakfast in the mornings was wonderful looking out into the gardens and the staff are both friendly and accomodating. The food was simple and tasty, and fruits refreshing. There is one extravagant main guest swimming pool which faces the forest and river and a nice private one with garden and deck chairs for villa guests one level down. There is also a night guard who can escort you down to your room if you return late to the hotel, which I thought was a special touch. The hotel also offers tour booking and scheduled trips to and from central Ubud. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would come again. One good tip I can leave you with is to not leave the balcony light on in the evening because you'll get an assortment of moths, beetles and other flying insects in the outdoor jacuzzi as a morning surprise.

I was very happy with our short three day stay at Rijasa Agung Resort and Villas. It seemed that we had the whole place to ourselves and were treated beautifully. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole resort was clean and appeared to be very well maintained. The scenery was outstanding. I spent every morning on the balcony, with my cup of tea, looking at the forest and the mountains and listening to the beautiful river. After a long flight, it was just the right place to rest and relax. When we did want to get out the shuttle service to and from Ubud was very handy. I would highly recommend the Rijasa Agung Resort and Villas to anyone who wants a romantic get away or a wonderful resort to just relax.

Nice hotel, nice swimming pool, good food, but lost in the middle of nowhere in the country (25 minutes from ubud by car). Very nice view. Difficult to walk around. No activity in the hotel. Adapted for conference, not to visit ubud Free ride to Ubud, but only 2 times a day Reception staff not very friendly

We had an amazing stay at the Rijasa. Everyone was always so pleasant and accomodating. Our room was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views. The pool and the grounds of the hotel were just breathtaking, serene and peaceful. Only downside was the distance into Ubud was quite far and a little bumpy! Getting a taxi back to the hotel from Ubud was a big problem ( asking very high prices), if the hotel could provide the tel. no. of a taxi at a set price it would be much easier. Use the the hotel minibus for day trips, good value & ask for Ngurah to take you he's great!.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The pool is stunning with views over the forrest. We had a spa room which had a spa in the bathroom as well as one on the balcony - the views were amazing, it was so relaxing lying in the spa overlooking the tranquil forrest. Although the location is about 15 mins drive out of Ubud, there is a hotel bus which takes you into the centre of ubud. This place is a must for ouples/honeymoon. I absolutely loved it and will definately be back again.
